How to Schedule an Appointment with an Academic Advisor

The College of Science Advising Center is here to assist you in preparing a degree plan, selecting academic courses, answering questions about academic probation and suspension, university policies, and helping you to become a successful Texas State student.

The Advising Center number is 512-245-1315.  We are located in Centennial Hall, room 202.

Individual appointments are available:

  • Non-registration periods: 30 minute appointments are available Monday through Thursday from 9-11a.m. and 2-4p.m., and Fridays 9-11a.m. 
  • Two weeks prior to the start of Advance Registration: 15 minute appointments are available Monday through Friday from 8:30-11a.m. and 1:30-4p.m.
  • Advanced Registration periods: 15 minute appointments are available Monday through Friday from 8:30-11a.m. and 1:30-4p.m.
  • Late Registration periods: 15 minute appointments are available Monday through Friday from 8:30-11a.m. and 1:30-4p.m.

Occasionally we will offer group advising for freshmen and sophomores.  These are offered prior to advance registration.  Check with our office for available group sessions.
