You must apply for graduation in order to graduate. You must apply for graduation by the deadline date.

If you have 12 hours or less left to complete your degree, you may be able to "walk" at graduation. This means that you can attend the ceremony, but will not receive a degree. In order to walk, you need to apply to graduate and note on the form that you intend to "walk." If you "walk" at the ceremony, you still need to apply for graduation in the semester that you intend to graduate.
